SetupMyHome

A concierge for the move-in, not the move

Buying a home comes with a pile of accounts to open and offices to call. SetupMyHome does that part for you. We engage only after your purchase is firm — we never touch the transaction — and we act strictly within a written, scoped authorization you can revoke at any time.

We set up your services with your written authorization. We never impersonate you, never store your passwords, PINs, or SIN, and never give legal, insurance, or financial advice.

1 · Your lawyer refers you

Once your purchase is firm, your real-estate lawyer sends you a SetupMyHome invitation. We start only after the deal is firm — we don't touch the transaction itself.

2 · Verify & authorize

You confirm your identity and the property, then sign a plain-language Scoped Service Mandate that says exactly which providers we may contact, for what, and until when. You can change or revoke it in one tap, anytime.

3 · Your Move Captain sets it up

We open your utilities in your name, coordinate waste and internet, and hand you a short, pre-filled list of the few things only you can do. Everything is confirmed before possession day, with a record of exactly what was done on your behalf.

What we never do

Holding authority over someone's utilities is a position of trust. These aren't aspirations — they're hard rules built into how the service works.

  • Impersonate you or imply we're the account holder
  • Store your provider passwords, PINs, security answers, or SIN
  • Collect or transcribe your full card or bank-account numbers
  • Give legal, insurance, financial, or real-estate advice
  • Relay your credit-check consent — you consent to the provider directly
  • Change a closing date, address, or payment destination on an email alone

Move in without the paperwork

Tell us about your move in Newmarket or Aurora and we'll map out exactly what we'll handle for you — and the short list only you can do.
